Bridging the Gap during Transition

Interim executives with D Crosson Group are skilled in executive transition management. By assessing and managing immediate needs, our interim executives are able to be a stabilizing force for organizations experiencing leadership transition. Interim executives serve for 2 to 9 months, typically working 24-30 hours per week. We can step into the role of interim executive quickly, often within 2 weeks of the agreement. 

A Neutral, Objective Perspective

An unhurried structured transition period, with critical self-examination, is the most effective way to navigate leadership transition. Executive transition can be a time for re-visioning the organization's mission and direction. We guide boards of directors through the transition process and assist in defining a leadership agenda for the nonprofit.  As an outsider, our interim executives are in the ideal position to make an objective review of an organization's administrative, financial and programmatic systems.   Working with managers and staff, the interim can develop short-term solutions and recommend change to organizational systems, as needed.

Preparing for Future Direction

D Crosson Group lays the foundation for new leadership and prepares the organization for a strong partnership with the new executive director. Interim executives with D Crosson Group are not candidates for the permanent position. This allows our professionals to focus entirely on the critical task of providing effective executive transition management. D Crosson Group provides a steady presence throughout the transition process, fostering a productive transition period that concludes with a smooth leadership succession.
